E-retailer SHEIN continues global roll-out of integrated marketplace as Mexico comes onboard
Chinese fast fashion giant, SHEIN, reports that Mexico will follow Brazil and the US in officially launching integrated marketplaces on the firm’s site in-country, offering products from third-party sellers alongside its own products.
Launches in Germany, Spain, France, and Italy will follow in the near future.
In addition to third-party sellers, SHEIN Marketplace has onboarded brands like Skechers and Lansinoh.
SHEIN has also announced the launch of a new global seller programme, AcceleraSHEIN.
This offers a system of support to all sellers on the marketplace, including training and upskilling, seller benefits and incentives to help them achieve their business goals.
100,000 high potential and high performing sellers will receive incentives and mentorship to hit annual sales milestones of $100,000 within three years, with 10,000 sellers put on a fast track programme to achieve $1 million in annual sales within three years.

TikTok
TikTok is working on a new in-app Trendy Beat shopping section, offering products that are shipped and sold by a subsidiary of its parent company, ByteDance.
This is currently being tested in the UK and features popular items that have appeared in trending videos.
The move can be viewed as TikTok looking to take on the likes of Amazon and SHEIN, indicating, as it does, a shift from a current e-commerce strategy dominated by the TikTok Shop marketplace.
